New book on the space of literature
A book by Maurice Blanchot The Space of Literature appeared in Ukrainian, translated from French by Leonid Kononovych and issued by the Calvaria Publishing House in Lviv with the support of International Renaissance Foundation Translation project and the French Embassy in Ukraine SKOVORODA Publication Support Program and the Ministry of External Affair of France. The book by Maurice Blanchot is not only an attempt to shed light on the literature and the art, but also a detailed investigation of what threat might be hidden for a contemporary human in a fact of "existing of such phenomena as art or literature" – immersion into the depth, approaching the gloom, experience of loneliness and death. The author investigates creative work of Mallarme, Kafka, Rilke, Goelderling, and many other writers.
