Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, the Vice-prime-minister of humanitarian aspects, plans to achieve introduction of quotas for book import in Ukraine. The project of this Resolution will be laid before the government during this month.
The quota arrangement is designed to limit the import of books from Russia, but it will also influence products of Ukrainian publishers that are printed abroad. The project of Resolution is already approved by the interdepartmental commission supporting development of Ukrainian book publishing and distribution.
